(Use caution – many areas are steep and rocky. Dress appropriately, take drinking water, and be sure to let someone know when you are leaving. Take plenty of pictures and make lots of memories)
Brimstone Head (Challenging)
Walk to the one of the four corners of the earth according to flat earth society. On top awaits a beautiful view of the entire town, the ocean as well as our neighboring Change Islands The hike to the top is approximately 2 km in length return
Lions Den Trail (Moderate)
One of the most scenic trails located in the community of Fogo, experience breathtaking scenery, wildlife and icebergs as you hike through previously resettled communities. The hike features many hills and lookouts that you may climb to get a beautiful view of neighboring communities, the ocean and much more. The hike starts at the site of the Marconi Interpretation Centre and is approximately 5 km in length.
Fogo Head / Western Brook Trail (Hard)
A more challenging hike, taking you to the top of Fogo Head, approximately 338 ft above sea, this hike gives you an amazing view of the ocean, icebergs, the town and more. Much of the hike is vertical and may be challenging to some, however the view and scenery is breathtaking. The Fogo Head Trail is approximately 4 km return.
Waterman’s Brook Trail (Moderate)
Starting in the community of Fogo, and ending in the community of Deep Bay, this fairly level trail takes you on a wooded hike featuring views of Deep Bay and ending with a captivating waterfall it is a hike the entire family can enjoy. The hike is approximately 8 km return.
